Bourgeois Victorian Piccolo Parlor Brazilian RWBourgeois
Ok... So... This guitar sounds great! Crisp, balanced, and surprisingly versatile for a Victorian-inspired parlor. Brazilian rosewood paired with dalmatian spruce create an incredibly musical and responsive guitar with bell-like tones. Here's what Bourgeois had to say about the piccolo parlor--
"Our smallest body style, the Piccolo Parlor is not a travel guitar and not a toy. Advancements in acoustic theory and construction technique provide a unique opportunity to take a fresh look at the possibilities inherent in a baby parlor guitar with steel strings. Ours has a full harmonic and dynamic voice in standard tuning, suitable for solo or ensemble work or vocal accompaniment. Serious players have used the Piccolo Parlor to showcase a wide variety of playing styles but have only begun to scratch the surface of its possibilities."
We want to note too that there are a number of little mineral deposits in this set of Brazilian. It was chosen by Dana Bourgeois first for its tone, second for its appearance. That said, we think you'll find the Brazilian rosewood beautiful. A really fine sounding instrument!
